Ready to climb one of the Brecon Beacons’ most iconic peaks? 🌿 Join us for an 8.5km hike up Sugar Loaf (Mynydd Pen-y-fâl), with wide-open grassy trails, beautiful autumn scenery and huge panoramic views across the Usk Valley towards the Blorenge. There are some steep climbs, so this one is best suited to people with a reasonable level of fitness who are comfortable with a proper uphill hike. Some of the terrain is uneven, so sturdy hiking footwear is essential. 🥾 🌧️ November weather can be unpredictable, so bring suitable layers and we recommend a waterproof rain jacket. 📅 7 November ⏰ 10:00 start 4 hours estimate duration 🥾 8.5km ❤️ Ages 30–50 The National Trust Sugarloaf and Usk valley car park is accessed via narrow single-track lanes, so take your time on the drive up.
